System Lockout
From the menu bar, click Admin > Employee/Security > System Lockout or press Alt A E L on the keyboard.
"System Lockout" is used to shut down and lockout AIMsi for all non-administrative employees. This would be necessary if you are performing database maintenance or a backup.
In order to have the ability to set a time for a system lockout, the application timer must first be set on the Misc tab of "Workstations" on the General Maintenance menu. Refer to "Misc tab" for information on setting the application timer.
When "System Lockout" is opened, you will set the date and time of the lockout, as well as additional text that you would like to appear for the employee to see when they are notified of the lockout. When it is time for the lockout, AIMsi will automatically close for all non-administrative employees and they cannot log back in until the lockout has been released by an administrator. An administrator can release the lockout by opening "System Lockout" and selecting the option to 'Release Lock'. This option will only appear once a lockout has been set.
